FIRST HOUSE FLIP
The curb appeal- Wasn't able to do much because we were remolding during winter- Michigan winters are not very forgiving. I would have loved to do some colorful landscaping. The porch could have been adorable with some hanging plants and window boxes. A few fresh coats of paint sure made a difference though!
Kitchen
The perimeter countertops were black granite tile. Granite tile is insurmountably cheaper than a slab of granite. However, I don't think I would do it again. The grout was a pain to clean. The island is butcherblock. I LOVE butcherblock. Butcherblock tends to be really pricing. If you go through a butcherblock fabricator it can be right up there with the price of granite or quartz. I bought a slab of butcherblock from Menards for under $200, cut it down to size, and oiled it myself.
Dining Room
That table was the first piece of furniture I bought at a garage sale! I'm kind of sentimental about it. $40! Just needed some paint. The hardwood floors are original. My dad sanded and stained them. I am so thankful for having such hardworking and supportive parents in my life who don't get sick of all my projects!

Upstairs
This space could have been adorable. I love the slanted ceilings. But obviously I didn't get very far here.
End table- $5 garage sale (my mom found this one) plus some paint and sanding
sewing desk-$20 garage sale
lamp- just an old lamp I've had since junior high. Spray painted the base, gave it a new lamp shade, and filled the inside with buttons (perfect for a sewing room, right?)

Basement
This basement was NASTY. Cleaning this basement was one of the hardest things I've ever done-definitely out of my comfort zone. Could hardly get myself to go down there after I moved in because I couldn't forget what it looked like beforehand. We painted the ceilings, walls, and steps and put down some carpet tile. I never did grow to tolerate this space but all of my guy friends always talked about turning it into the ultimate man space. I could see it!
