Ty and I have been discussing adding a fashion segment to the blog for some time. Fashion is another form of creative expression. I certainly like connecting with other bloggers, friends, etc., on the subject. Here's to a new blog segment, not rooted in vanity, but creative connection. (This post includes white shorts...let me remind you that Labor day is NOT over yet, so I'm not breaking any rules, thank you).

if you've been following along, you've seen a few travel guides from our North East road trip. The small coastal towns were overflowing with nautical prep attire. Everyone was dressed in navy, white, and red. Women galavanted the streets in pearls, loafers, and yellow rain jackets. Men accessorized their colorful oxford shirts with an anchored belt. Ty and I, already rather mesmerized by all things preppy, don't always fit in with the rest of the hipster world. Here, we felt a lovely sense of belonging.

.Two things you need to know about our fashion game:
  1. We like brands; but more, we love quality. (Favorites include Vineyard Vines, AG Jeans, Lilly Pulitzer, Lululemon, Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Patagonia, Peter Millar, Tory Burch, Brooks Brothers)
  2. . We LIVE for the deals. We never pay full price. Ever. This new fashion segment will likely consist of me bragging about how little we pay for things. There's no better rush that a great sale. I'm definitely that person who asks for the additional 10% off for the makeup stain on that collar. Sorry to all retail associates out there.
