I have officially ordered all of the light fixtures for the new house. Ordering all of the light fixtures, faucets, tile, vanities, mirrors, toilet paper holders, and more has felt like a part time job lately. With backorders and shipping delays, I have been trying to get everything on order with plenty of time to spare! Today, I finally ordered the very last light fixture needed for the house. Just a few more things, and the hours online shopping in bed, under the covers, will be put to rest (no pun intended).
I had planned to outfit this house with a mix of black and brass. However, as I look back at everything on order, I realize that I bought about 90% brass. I couldn't help myself; I am so drawn to the warmth and character that brass brings to a room! This new home will lean traditional, so brass simply fits the bill! There will be plenty of black accents (furniture, art frames, soapstone, etc.) elsewhere to balance all of the satin brass.
I went with 3 of these simple sconces above the kitchen window. Ty does not like exposed bulbs, so finding sconces with a shades proved challenging. I love the milk white ceramic shade! I originally picked out this chandelier for the dining room. To my dismay, it was backordered until November. BUT, I stumbled upon an even better fixture that has stolen my heart! I have always loved this large Rejuvenation pendant, and it just so happens that the size and color that we wanted was 50% off! Fate. This affordable goose neck light will be above the front door, whiletwo of these modern wall mounts will be on either side of the garage. This art light will go above the shelves in the kitchen.

A classic schoolhouse light will be perfect for the front entry. The laundry will get this brass boob-light alternative. A simple globe sconce will be cute in the powder bath. We bought this light for the guest room after loving it inour current kitchen! Lastly, Brooks' nursery will be outfitted with this semi-flush mount (which we have in our current bunk room!)

I can't wait to seetwo of these sconces installed to the right and left of the primary bathroom mirror. This traditional milk glass sconce will be adorable in the kids' bathroom! We can't sleep without a ceiling fan in our bedroom, so we ordered this white one. Lastly, I couldn't help order a few lamps. I love the texture of this lamp with a wicker shade and this ceramic lamp!
![]() . Stick around to see this beauties installed in a just a few short months! We will be sharing a post soon all about the fun things we are doing with electric...motion sensor lights in the laundry, specific Roomba storage stations, stair way night lights, and more! HJJ
