How We Fully Furnished Our Office for $500

Welcome to our office! This room has quickly become our favorite room in the house. The minimalist color palette is conducive to creative flow and inspiration, and the positive vibes in this room provide the perfect space for working, blogging, and organizing our thoughts (and online shopping). The best part? We stuck to a strict, mean budget for this space. The finished product, all details included (with the exception of the iMac), was designed for under $600.

There you have it! Designing on a budget can be time consuming, but we are happy we put in the extra effort (even if there was a little bit of kicking and screaming coming from one of us...typically while browsing West Elm. "Come on babe, I won't want to buy anything; I just want to browse to get inspiration." #biggestlieever). A creative's workspace should be strategically designed, providing a calm, inspirational locale for optimal productivity. It should also be particular to the artist at play. Ty loves to work at the desktop, and can spend hours doing so. I can't sit at a desk for too long (I get antsy), so I added the little couch. This cozy little seating area is where I get the most work done, curled up with coffee (duh). We also keep our workspace CLEAN, free of clutter and distractions (gotta keep that HYGGE!). More on Hygge, budget decor, and methods to foster creativity...coming soon. In the meantime, tell us about your workspace vibes!
