Meet Larissa. I met Larissa a few months ago after she stumbled upon quitequaint.com and happened to live in the area. A short coffee date quickly evolved into a unique friendship bonded together by similar interests. Larissa has an undeniable passion for real estate and keen eye for design. I cherish such a friendship. Creative collaboration is an essential component for feeding a creative spirit. I am so excited to give you a tour of Larissa's place. These before and after photos are amazing.
This home started out as a disaster. Dingy walls and damaged floors. Larissa painted the walls AND the original hardwood floors.
Larissa found most of her pieces from Ikea or Craigslist. I am amazed at how much she accomplished on a budget. Her kitchen table and white end table are both from Ikea.
Soothing gray walls and a light floor cleaned up this space beautifully.
She found her bedspread at Urban Outfitters. I love it because it could work with so many colors. It's great to have an inspiration piece that does not limit you to a strict color pallet. The bed frame, lamp, and chandelier are from Ikea. The window frame came off her old front door.
Ahh the living room, my favorite. So clean and cozy. Again, look at how much difference can be made by a few coats of paint.
She found her fabulous green couch in high school at a consignment shop for $35! What? I know. The white couch is from Craigslist. The floral chair was passed down by her grandmother. She recovered it.
The couch. I envy the couch.
Eclectic trunk - another consignment shop find. Props.
Who wants a spare guest room when you could have a giant closet? Uhhh nobody. Check this out.
Mid century modern dresser - Craigslist.
Yikes. She repainted the base of the tub white, spray painted the feet silver, and added a rounded curtain rod. She also replaced the vanity and added a little storage. Decorating a tight place can be difficult. The narrow vanity from Ikea fits just perfectly.
The existing cabinets had been spray painted black by the previous owners. Larissa painted them a milky white.
Artwork and island from Ikea.
What a beautiful home.
