Dorm Edition! I thought we would do something a little different today. I never lived on campus, but I can imagine that a dorm could be difficult to decorate. Rachel did a fabulous job of making this space her own. She added so much fun and personality. Her desk area is my favorite. Rachel made this artwork herself! Check out the tutorial here. This space belongs to a fellow blogging friend of mine, Rachel. Rachel's website, Bows and a Blonde, is a lifestyle blog that focuses on fashion, style, and design. This girl has incredible talent. If I could hire a permanent shopping partner, it would be her. I will never forget the time I asked her to borrow a dress for a banquet that I was going to in college. She opened her magnificent closet overflowing with dresses floor to ceiling. Before I could gather my thoughts, she proceeded to pull out several massive bins full of dresses from under her bed. They were all beautiful. Remember in Princess Diaries 2 when Anne Hathaway enters her princess closet for the first time and she sits there shocked and then gets overwhelmed with happiness? That's how I felt. I remember thinking, "This girl has a gift." You can never go wrong with black and white. This bedding is simple and adorable. The monogrammed pillow adds a touch of personality. Amazing how she made a small cookie-cutter dorm feel cute, classy, and homey. For all you college readers, make sure you check out the Collegiate Daybook. Rachel has designed and created a planner that caters directly to college students! You can read all about her product on KickStarter. You don't want to miss it! I always admire an entrepreneurial spirit. Our world needs more people who are willing to bet on themselves. Head over to KickStarter and support Rachel's pursuit! I hope you adore this space as much as I do. Do you have any tips about dorm decorating? We would love to hear!
