We are about to enter "Renovation Phase 2," where I plan to add some finishing touches to the house. In this bathroom, we replaced the shower, floor, toilet, vanity, lighting, and faucets. I designed this space as a "blank slate," knowing that later, I would add the finishing details. We wanted to get the bulk of the renovating done ASAP so we could live without the dusty chaos. Now that the major items are complete, it's time to add the fun touches like board and batten, wallpaper, and hardware. I've come up with two designs, both transforming this bathroom from incomplete to warm and cozy. First, let's not forgot what this bathroom used to look like! DESIGN #1 : DARK AND MOODY BOARD AND BATTENThis design incorporates a dark hunter or emerald green board and batten that would run half way up the wall. Click images below for links (flooring and vanity linked in here). DESIGN #2 : BRIGHT AND FUN WALLPAPERThis second design would have white board and batten half way up the wall, with gray buffalo check wallpaper above. Here is the peel and stick wallpaper that I have on order. If I go with design #1, I will use this wallpaper in our laundry instead! Em Henderson used this wallpaper in this fun blog post. We are conducting a poll on instagram, We will keep you updated with poll results, and bathroom progress! We're excited to finish this first project of "Renovation phase 2." Stay tuned!
