I turned my spare bedroom into a giant closet. Slightly obnoxious I know, but I had no other use for the room. Aleast that's how I justify it n my mind. Anyway, the room was dark and dreary and way ugly. It took a lot of work but I love the clean, bright, finished look.

I decided to paint everything white. I knew there was going to be a lot of different patterns, colors, textures in the room with all my clothes, accessories, make up, etc., so I wanted something crisp. You can never go wrong with white.

I got that chair for $6 at a consignment shop. It was dark green. I spray painted it silver, obviously.

I got this mirror for $4! Didn't even have to spray paint it or anything.

I got these for about $1.70 each when Hobby Lobby was having a 50% off glass sale. Always watch for that sale; it comes around about once a month. It's a good one.

I found this rug for $12 at Kohl's of all places.
Notice the floor - we refinished the hardwood that was under the existing carpet. It was a bright orange looking oak. My Dad and I sanded and stained it.

Found this lamp at a garage sale for $4. Love at first sight.

See that monstrous blob of scarves? I refinished and painted three old boards of wood with hooks to make something cute to hold my scarves. When I hung my scarves I realized that I have so many that you can't even see the cute blue boards of wood! Addicted to scarves...I counted at least 32.

I found that gold bamboo looking end table for $15 at a consignment shop. A little more thatnI usually like to spend but I loved the simplicity and clean look of it.

I could never reach my sweaters in my closet so I  kept an eye for a step stool at a thrift store for weeks. I finally found that pink one there. It was nasty green, brown and purple with painted flowers all over it. I repainted it, like I do everything else.
I love the way my closet turned out. I was going for rganized and refreshing.

Have a beautiful day!
