Coffee table books have a way making a space feel complete. They belong in short piles on the TV console, dresser, dining room buffet, kitchen shelf, and (duh) coffee table. I haven't counted how many we have gathered over the years...some things are better kept unknown (Ty is already telling me that my little "collection" is outgrowing our new abode!).
I've purchased books online, in bookstores, and at thrift stores for years. Once, I even found a stack of old hard covers about the city of Holland on a card table in our neighborhood, marked "free!" It definitely remains one of my best finds! But not far removed, would be the old books my mom gave my that used to belong to my grandparents. My grandparents were epic travelers who traversed all 50 states many times, amongst other places. In fact, my Grandpa even engineered a way to cook a roast underneath the car! True story. After a long day of road tripping, they would pull over for roast, carrots, potatoes, and gravy. Now that is road tripping! Those books, all about travel, National Parks, and America's treasures, will be with me forever.
Here is a round up of 30 great coffee table books! We have a handful of these and a few are on my wish list (ahem, Ty, are you reading?...no pun intended). I would have to say that my favorite isthe iconic Beaches book which is filled with arial photos of beaches around the world. We are big Ralph Lauren fans so this biography about Ralph is another favorite and an interesting read! Highest on my wish list is New Southern Style, a beautiful book filled with inspiring interiors.
Which books would you display on your coffee table? What are some favorites that you currently own?
